I’m friggin’ excited for this. Are you ready? Word is that WB is going to make Batman: Year One as an animated feature!
The great thing about this is that an animated feature can follow the original Frank Miller (300, Sin City) comic book story without looking ridiculous like it might in a live action feature.
The other awesome thing is that DC and WB have been making some awesome movies in the last few years and Batman: Year One should follow along in the vein.
Here’s what we’ve heard so far:
-Sam Liu (Hulk vs., Superman/Batman: Public Enemies) has been tapped to direct the flick, so it’s in good hands.
-There’s a chance that we’ll finally get a chance to see the flawed Jim Gordon.
-And there’s also a strong chance that we will get to see a pretty edgy Catwoman story.
Here’s what we think:
-Kevin Conroy should still voice the Batman character.
-WB/ DC should try to push the movie to the edge of PG-13 status so that there’s some good action and such without losing kids, because kids love The Batman.
What do all of you guys think? Am I the only one hyped for a Batman: Year One animated feature?
